Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.
Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.
To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.
- Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations . Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro and Interventional Procedures
- Assists Interventional Radiologist by accurately scanning the area of interest requested by Radiologist . biopsies and drainages
- Ensures patient is ready for scan . confirms appropriate gauge IV needle, appropriate type/dose of contrast and allergy status
- Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol . completes exams in Radnet, incident reports/extravasation forms, patient contrast information forms, side/site forms and documents exam information in CT log
- Performs protocol management by evaluating and determining area of interest and type of scan to be performed on patient, consults physician as necessary
- Encourages good working relationships, promotes team effort within the department by communicating in a positive manner and motivates staff

- Completion of approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved RadiologicTechnologist Program and
- Medical Radiographer: AZ, and
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS), and
- CT Radiology Tech: AZ, and
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, or
- Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, or
- Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, or
- Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, or
- Registered Technologist Mammography, or
- Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or
- Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, or
- Registered Technologist Quality Management, or
- Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, or
- Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad, or
- Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography
Preferred
- Three years of CT experience
