About the Role:
Academy of Excellence Learning Center in Lancaster, CA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact during the most critical stage of a child's development. If you love working with little ones and creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment, we want to hear from you!



Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive, compassionate daily care for infants including feeding, diapering, and soothing
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, and physical development
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment that meets licensing standards
  • Observe and document infant milestones and developmental progress
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily activities and growth
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols in accordance with state childcare regulations
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience working with infants in a childcare or early education setting
  • At least 15 units in ECE including infant and toddler
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge of infant development milestones and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with families
  • Must pass a background check and meet California Community Care Licensing requirements
  • Patient, warm, and dependable with a genuine love for working with infants
