Job Summary

Heitmeyer is seeking a Data Quality Engineer to support its global banking client on a long-term regulatory and cloud initiative. This role is required to be on-site 2 days a week in the following locations : Mount Laurel, NJ Greenville, SC, Falmouth, ME, Farmington Hills, MI, and Wilmington, DE. There is potential to convert to FTE depending on performance and headcount.

Job Description :

Working in a scaled agile environment on a pod structured team with developers, tech leads, architects, and analysts, you will be responsible for having technical and business discussions to assess what is needed to test to ensure solutions are working properly. You will be taking ownership delivering the testing including user story creation in Jira to document proper steps, create a test plan to set expectations for others, design automation, run SQL statements to determine source to target, test case execution, and coordination with offshore team.

Required Skills :

• 5+ years of data warehousing experience in a data engineering capacity
• Must be knowledgeable in data lakes or large data sets
• Advanced SQL with experience writing queries and ability to speak to experience with sub queries, clauses, SQL statements, comparing files, and slow changing dimensions
• Cloud experience i.e. Azure, AWS, or GCP
• General testing expertise around test plan creation, traceability, and test closure reports
• Experience in agile based delivery using Jira
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
