ABOUT THE ROLE
The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a vital role in supporting the operation and maintenance of the plant's equipment. You will be tasked with developing, implementing, and overseeing Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
As part of the Amrize US Build4Growth Program, you will engage in a comprehensive 14-month cement manufacturing learning and development initiative tailored for new graduate engineers. This program blends online learning, personal interactions, hands-on assignments, and diverse projects.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers and plant personnel to ensure efficient plant operations.
- Monitor and manage reliability-based systems, including preventative maintenance and condition monitoring techniques.
- Contribute to the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new machinery.
- Oversee preventive/predictive maintenance programs ensuring peak equipment performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis and use various statistical methods to resolve repetitive issues.
- Enhance Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) metrics for critical equipment through guided improvements.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives that boost equipment availability and reliability.
- Optimize SAP operations related to maintenance routines in collaboration with maintenance planners.
- Provide training and support for maintenance teams to embed reliability concepts into everyday practices.
- Commit to upholding and enhancing health, safety, and environmental protocols in the workplace, promoting a culture of safety.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of equivalent experience.
Preferred Fields of Study: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
Work Experience: 0-3 years
Required Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Travel Requirements: 5%
Additional Requirements:
- Adherence to safety protocols and proper utilization of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is essential. Employees required to wear respirators must maintain a clean-shaven appearance where the respirator seal contacts the face to pass fit tests.
