As the Director of Construction, you will be a critical member of our team, leading and shaping the future of our construction projects. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success, working closely with top management and our clients. You will be responsible for overseeing all construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about leading teams and delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities :
1. Oversee all construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Develop and implement strategies and plans for the construction department in alignment with our company's objectives.
3. Lead, manage and mentor a team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
4. Conduct contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the best possible terms for our company.
5. Develop accurate project estimates and budgets, monitor project costs, and identify and mitigate financial risks.
6. Ensure all construction activities comply with legal, safety, and environmental regulations.
7. Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
8. Provide regular reports to top management on project status, financial performance, and other key metrics.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in contract negotiation, team management, and construction estimating.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
5. Excellent knowledge of construction processes, materials, equipment, and safety regulations.
6. Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis.
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
10. Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
