Job descriptionResponsibilities : Estimation : Utilize your extensive knowledge and experience to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for commercial drywall projects. Bid Preparation : Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids based on project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents. Cost Analysis : Analyze project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards. Vendor and Subcontractor Management : Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services. Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms. Project Coordination : Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of estimates and bids. Risk Assessment : Identify and evaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects, and develop strategies to mitigate them. Documentation : Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, contracts, and other relevant documents. Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to continuously improve estimating processes and methodologies. Requirements : Education : Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred. Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial drywall estimation. Technical Skills : Proficiency in estimating software such as Onscreen Takeoff / QuickBid, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar tools. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes. Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze project requirements, interpret drawings and specifications, and accurately calculate material and labor costs. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Attention to Detail : Keen attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and bidding processes. Negotiation Skills : Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Organizational Skills : Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
