Job description
Position Overview
Ally Waste is seeking a driven, hands-on Field Supervisor to oversee our Waste Leveling and Bulk Service divisions. This leader will manage and support Waste Leveler Technicians and Bulk Service Technicians, ensuring operational excellence, route efficiency, safety compliance, and high client satisfaction. This is a salary role ($55,000-$60,000 DOE) that requires the ability to lead from the front and step into the field when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership & Oversight: Supervise daily operations, conduct ride-alongs and field audits, and maintain accountability through KPI management.
- Route & Operational Management: Oversee scheduling and dispatch via tablet/routing systems, optimize labor utilization, and complete routes during staffing shortages.
- Training & Onboarding: Lead onboarding and hands-on training for new technicians regarding safety, trailer handling, and customer service standards.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce DOT standards, ensure proper trailer operation, and conduct regular safety meetings.
- Client Relations: Maintain professional relationships with property managers and address service concerns promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience (waste management, logistics, or field services preferred).
- Experience pulling and maneuvering trailers safely.
- Tech-savvy; proficient in tablets and routing/scheduling software.
- Ability to perform physical labor and work in outdoor environments.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Pre-Employment Screening

Additional Screening Requirements For Driving Positions

Positions that involve driving company vehicles or driving on company business are subject to a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, conducted in accordance with applicable laws. To qualify for driving duties, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
  • Hold a current and valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
  • Be at least 18 years old and have maintained a valid license for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Have no Major Violations (Type I) within the past 36 months.
  • Have no more than 4 Minor Violation points in the past 36 months and no more than 3 Minor Violation points in the past 12 months.
  • Successfully complete a DOT physical examination and obtain the required medical certification prior to performing any driving duties.
  • Successfully pass a background check, conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
