CDL Driver (Bucket Truck)/ Electrician Helper


Position Overview:


Wesworth Electric is seeking a skilled and reliable CDL Driver (Bucket Truck)/Electrician Helper to join our team. This position requires an individual with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to operate bucket trucks safely and assist electricians with various tasks in commercial and industrial electrical projects.


Key Responsibilities:

1. CDL Driver Duties:
   
   
   • Safely operate bucket trucks and other commercial vehicles to and from job sites.
   • Ensure vehicles are maintained, inspected, and compliant with DOT regulations.
   • Load, secure, and transport materials and equipment as required.
   • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle issues.
2. Electrician Helper Duties:
   
   
   • Assist electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems.
   • Handle tools, materials, and equipment as directed by the lead electrician or supervisor.
   • Perform basic tasks such as running conduit, pulling wire, and mounting electrical devices.
   • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
3. Safety & Compliance:
   
   
   • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
   • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.
   • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure tools are in good working order.
4. Additional Duties:
   
   
   • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion.
   • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
   • Support the team with any additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating bucket trucks or similar equipment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in the electrical or construction field is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work at heights using a bucket truck and other equipment.
• Flexibility to work overtime or travel to job sites as needed.
