Job description

Kinetica is looking for experienced technical Solutions Architects to join our growing Customer Success and Professional Services teams. We are seeking proven technical professionals who want to lead the charge on the front lines of an exciting and disruptive technology redefining what can be done with IOT and Geospatial real-time data.

Responsibilities:

As a Solution Architect in our Technical Customer Success team, you will be the trusted technical advisor for our customer and partners to identify and implement key technical strategies that will unlock business value using the Kinetica Database.

  • Work with clients to help them realize their IOT and Geo-spatial analytical objectives leveraging the Kinetica Database and Tools
  • Design, build, and deploy scalable, big-data driven, distributed architectures
  • Leveraging strong technical and product expertise, assisting customers in mapping business requirements and problems into optimal technical designs and advising them as they work through the implementation of those designs.
  • Develop relationships with a portfolio of client and partner developer teams as a trusted advisor and advocate.
  • Establish a regular cadence with client portfolio to proactively guide clients; will include periodic tasks such as health checks, product update workshops, architecture reviews.
  • Help clients and partners solve interesting and complex problems.
  • Become an internal advocate of clients and partners and bring the voice of the customer into the rest of the organization.
  • Collaborate closely within the Customer Success, Professional Services, Support teams; and with Engineering, Products, and Sales teams to share knowledge, solve problems and forward the Customer mission.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3-5-10+ years of post-college software development experience
  • 3-5-10+ years of customer facing experience
  • Strong experience with the following:
    • Linux/Unix administration and scripting
    • RDBMS systems administration and development with SQL
    • Data structures and Algorithms
    • Big Data Concepts and Streaming Architecture
    • At least one of the programming languages Java/Python/C++/GoLang
  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • Docker, Kubernetes and experience with devOps requirements and processes
    • Kafka, Akka, or similar data stream processing technologies
    • Multithreaded and parallel process development
    • Secure protocols such as HTTPS, LDAPS, KERBEROS
    • Analytic tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI
    • Tomcat/Httpd web servers
  • Experience with the following technologies are considered a plus:
    • Geospatial, ESRI
    • Graph
    • Queuing systems such as RMQ, ZMQ.

Soft Skills:

  • Great communication skills (verbal and written)
  • High-energy self-starter with a passion for data, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited direction
