Job Summary : The Energy Manager will support the sustainment of mission critical facilities and infrastructure at Kirtland AFB (KAFB) to ensure our customers' continued mission success. This position performs complete energy management services under the KEOS contract.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Oversee various federal and US Air Force (USAF) energy programs including scoping of energy projects, analysis of energy and cost savings, and life-cycle cost analysis.
- Gather information to provide monthly utility usage, cost data management, and reporting to our customer and higher headquarters.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative research and data gathering and identify key themes, trends, and opportunities from complex data sets.
- Capture, synthesize, and summarize key points from interviews, focus groups, and internal meetings, translating insights into draft deliverables and products.
- Perform energy and financial analysis to identify energy conservation measures.
- Use statistical techniques to analyze large data sets and identify trends, patterns, and relationships.
- Use USAF-approved software to complete cost-benefit analysis.
- Develop and maintain installation energy management plan.
- Provide training to facility managers on energy conservation in conjunction with periodic facility manager training.
- Develop agreement summaries and methods for monitoring and tracking compliance for development agreements or utility agreements.
- Evaluate a facility's systems to include building envelope, HVAC, and lighting for efficiency and improvements.
- Employ internal tools and tracking systems (e.g., SharePoint sites, document libraries, internal dashboards) to accomplish monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Lead a small team to perform and provide energy evaluations of 20% of buildings at Kirtland AFB per year.
- File and maintain purchased utilities documentation as provided by the government IAW USAF formal instructions.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
