This group provides comprehensive planning, permitting, consulting, engineering, and construction services. Your focus will involve collaborating with client development, account management, and operations teams to foster relationships, identify opportunities for expanding their Energy Transition services, and lead permitting and environmental documentation activities for renewable energy projects across the U.S.

Your primary focus will be on solar, wind, and storage projects, you'll also engage in permitting activities for other renewable energy technologies and electric transmission projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience and familiarity with permitting renewables projects, guiding clients through project planning and executing comprehensive permitting programs. Expertise in state and federal regulations such as the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and National Environmental Policy Act is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities Include :

Cultivating and nurturing strong, trusted-advisor relationships with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.

Leading project teams comprised of engineers, scientists, digital data specialists, and program managers for renewable energy permitting projects.

Monitoring regional market trends and landscapes for renewable energy development and providing updates to internal teams.

Representing [Your Client] at market-facing events to enhance their presence and profile.

Directly engaging with clients and account teams to attract and expand key and emerging clients.

Contributing to the strategy, team development, and financial planning for Energy Transition services.

Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop proposals, guide project teams, and advise clients on regulatory requirements.

Mentoring technical staff to enhance both client development and technical skills.

Leading and participated in Communities of Practice, team-building activities, training, and recruiting efforts to identify and expand delivery resources.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Natural Resources, Conservation, Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Engineering) or equivalent work experience.

15 years of experience in consulting, power utility, renewable developer, energy transition, or related fields.

10 years of experience leading permitting and stakeholder engagement for renewable energy projects.

Proven track record in business development, maintaining client relationships, and identifying growth opportunities.

Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work within budget and timeline constraints.

Proficiency in relevant technical tools, datasets, and processes for evaluating critical issues and permitting needs in the renewable energy sector.

Technical expertise and regulatory knowledge related to land use permitting, state siting processes, and relevant environmental legislation.
