Geosyntec is seeking a mid-career Environmental Scientist to join our team in Houston or Austin, Texas . Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include :
- Providing technical and project management for site investigation and remediation projects, such as those utilizing the Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP).
- Managing and overseeing preparation of technical reports such as Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs); Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs); Spill, Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans; and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
- Prepare and manage environmental investigation work plans and provide technical support on a variety of environmental projects for oil & gas, petrochemical, waste, and agrichemical clients.
- Manage and perform surface and subsurface investigations including drilling, geologic / geotechnical logging, and environmental media sampling (groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, air / vapor, and waste).
- Review and research regulatory topics, along with determining regulatory applicability to processes and problems.
- Participate in business development activities and begin to establish a consulting practice. Mentor junior staff and interact with senior Geosyntec staff to meet task, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Support client opportunities and proposal preparation, and gain increasing responsibility with project tasks through training provided by Geosyntec and by working with senior staff and management.
