The Facility Engineer at McLane Global is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of building systems, utilities, and infrastructure. This role ensures that all facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. The Facility Engineer also supports capital projects, equipment upgrades, and energy efficiency initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and performance of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
- Monitor and manage building automation systems (BAS) and energy consumption.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise contractors and vendors for facility projects or repairs.
- Assist in developing and managing the facility maintenance budget.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Support capital improvement and facility expansion projects from concept to completion.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment histories.
- Identify and implement energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
- Respond to emergency facility issues and provide technical support as needed.
