Assist students and others as they navigate the financial aid process, in-person, email and by phone. Provide verbal and written responses to questions about the application, processing, aid offers, and relevant policies. Review and process incoming documents. Work reports. Hours for this position are Monday- Thursday 1 : 00- 7 : 00 pm and Friday noon- 3 : 00 pm. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Assisting students at front desk regarding financial aid processes, procedures, and policies. Data entry into Banner and other computer systems. Read and reply to student emails and faxes. Scan and image documents into student files. Help students’ complete forms and / or FAFSA applications in financial aid systems. Working reports as needed. Answering the main phone line at times. Other duties as assigned. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic Computer Skills
Customer Service experience Preferred Qualifications Experience and or knowledge of Financial Aid Experience with Banner
Must have excellent work attendance
Nine (9)- twelve (12) months or more of Customer Service experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills, (customer service, written and oral communication.)
- Knowledge of general office procedures.
- Data input experience.
- Adaptable to frequent change, function well in high-stress environment Knowledge of Banner, Etrieve, and Microsoft Suite preferred.
- Knowledge of Title IV Financial Aid and FAFSA application process preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
- Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic background of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
