Job description9am - 5pm or 11am - 7pm Some weekend and holiday availability is required Operate dishwashing machine, including maintain condition and checking chemical levels each shift Wash, sanitize, dry and put away all dishes in designated locations Remove recycling and trash at the end of each shift Sweep and mop food preparation floors at the end of each shift Open and close counter according to established procedures Maintain standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization in retail, prep, and storage areas Ensure adequate stock of packaging materials Display all deli foods in service case and grab-n-go cases according to specified plan-o-gram Ensure that all products have accurate signage; notify ASFM if they do not Stock grab-n-go case as needed Package deli products as needed Notify FSM of equipment issues and needed repairs Ensure food service store conditioning and regular cleaning schedule is followed Successfully complete and maintain food safety certification Address safety concerns immediately Attend team meetings Report to FSM & GM regularly Uphold and demonstrate our above & beyond customer service policy Interact with customers, in-person and on the phone, in a friendly, efficient manner Prepare and price all made-to-order items according to established procedures with appropriate portions. Take special orders from customers according to established procedure Complete assigned production lists Ensure adequate preparation and availability of all backups Produce all foods using established recipe and procedures Package, date, and label all foods using established procedures Follow proper product rotation procedures (FIFO) Ability to use computer keyboard, monitor, mouse, telephone, and various office equipment continuously. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to be present and working in assigned area for up to 3 hours without rest. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs or ladder. Ability to reach above shoulder height occasionally. Ability to talk and hear to communicate with customers. Finger and hand dexterity with ability to grasp and hold items of different sizes. Vision ability – close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception. Ability to read register screen and product and shelf labels. Frequent exposure to cold, hot, wet or humid conditions. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, hazardous materials ranging from natural to chemical (store products, cleaning products, scents from working in a public setting). Exposure to and potential handling of fresh foods. Frequently performs work standing on cement floors May work occasionally in temperature extremes (walk-in freezer coolers and freezers, hot kitchen, etc.). Noise level in the store is usually moderate to loud. Experience in food service (grocery, deli, or restaurant setting) Demonstrated excellent customer service Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to follow procedures and processes Attention to detail & organizational skills Demonstrated ability to multi task
