Lead Surg Tech Essential Job Duties

Assists with the planning and yearly needs assessment for Perioperative Services budget. Scheduling (monthly availability / call schedule), mentoring, precepting, and evaluation of surgical technicians based on competencies Under the supervision of the Director, accurately reports the daily staffing ratios to adequately maintain required productivity. Works with surgical team to find and implement solutions. Demonstrates knowledge of the step-by-step progress of specific surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years recent clinical acute care operating room experience required
• Graduated from an accredited Operating Room Technician Program required
• National Operating Room Technician certification preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
