Scope of Project
This position involves designing and implementing enterprise-level software solutions and ensuring seamless integration of current and emerging technologies to meet business needs. The role supports large-scale applications aligned with Integrated Justice Portal standards, focusing on performance, scalability, and system reliability.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance enterprise applications
  • Apply Integrated Justice Portal standards including UI, coding, and development methodologies
  • Act as primary liaison with infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues
  • Support performance testing, failover planning, endurance testing, and deployment activities
  • Perform analysis, design, development, and code review using Java/JEE technologies
  • Work with technologies including JSF, XML, XSLT, IBM WebSphere, and portal frameworks
  • Oversee development activities including data structures, data manipulation, and database modeling
  • Develop and review technical documentation such as system designs and schemas
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and integration across systems
Required/Preferred Skills:
Required Skills:
  • 84+ months experience designing and implementing highly available, scalable multitier applications using Object-Oriented or Service-Oriented Architecture
  • 84+ months experience with Java development (JDK 1.8 or higher)
  • Strong experience with JEE design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
  • 72+ months experience in web development using JSF/JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript on J2EE application servers (WebSphere 8.0+)
  • 72+ months experience with JPA and/or Hibernate using Oracle or SQL Server databases
  • 72+ months experience with messaging technologies such as MQ and JMS
  • Experience in data analysis, database modeling, and enterprise system integration
Preferred Skills:
  • 60+ months experience developing and integrating systems related to criminal justice processing (state or federal level)
  • Experience with Integrated Justice Portal environments
  • Strong experience in enterprise architecture and large-scale system design
Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
