Software development company seeking talented software developers to create and extend existing business applications. The Software Developer is responsible for the design, development and release of our organization’s Java web-based applications. Duties include application development and systems integration, spanning front-end, middle tier, and data access components.

Requirements

Job Requirements and Qualifications *Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field *
Minimum 5+ years and strong software engineering background *
Minimum 5 years’ professional work experience in programming

Job Duties: *

Develop new features and bugfixes for web-based Java application *
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers via ticketing system and phone *
Participate in design decisions and help prioritize features and bugs *
Write and expand user, administration, and API documentation *
Miscellaneous IT-related tasks *
Other duties as required

Required Skills: *

Experience with Java-based programming *
Experience with version control systems *
Experience with relational databases, in particular MySQL and PostgreSQL *
Basic knowledge of web based technologies *
Strong knowledge of core programming concepts, including typical algorithms, software design patterns, etc. *
Effective in working with strong technical teams *
Excellent communication and written skills *
Analyze user requirements and existing business process. *
Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
