Job descriptionRequires working knowledge of warehousing and mail room procedures, processes and equipment, including electric pallet jacks, fork lift and manual hand jack. Be certified or have the ability to become certified within 60 days in the use of electric pallet jacks, fork lift and manual hand jack. Requires ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to read and follow detailed procedures and instructions. Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. High school diploma or GED equivalent. 2 years college preferred. Requires Class D driver’s license; “F” endorsement preferred. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in logistics or office mail and support facility. Description
Under the supervision of the Manager, Mail Room / Logistics, performs day-to-day tasks associated with the preparation, receipt and delivery of postal mail and packages. Provides logistical support for warehouse deliveries including the operation and safe use of electric pallet jacks, fork life and manual hand jack. Assists with logistical support for the organization during on and off campus events.
Job Functions :
- Receives incoming shipments at on-campus warehouse facility. Maintains accurate records of receipt of shipment, determines proper storage and labels boxes accordingly.
- Prepares outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and shipping requirements are met.
- Provides assistance for loading and unloading trucks and large cargo vans.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment within warehouse facility.
