General Job Description:

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc. Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble. Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts. Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary. Cleans and lubricates parts. Order replacement parts. Inspects completed repairs. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Requisitions new parts and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of manufacturing machinery
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five or more years related experience
• Hands-on knowledge of the mechanics of manufacturing equipment
• Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring, circuits, etc.
• Must supply own tools

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• May involve some repetitive motions
• Due to open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold

Specific Duties:

1. Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, diagnosing mechanical problems and determine how to correct them
2. Perform preventative maintenance on all building machinery and equipment
3. Inspect, maintain and perform primary repair of mechanical equipment
4. Perform re-wiring of building, light fixture, and equipment
5. Coordinates and executes facility and ground maintenance requirements as needed
6. Establish and maintain maintenance records for equipment and facility
7. During winter months shovel and apply salt on sidewalks at all entrance points of the facility
8. Coordinate with purchasing to order supplies and equipment when required to maintain operation of manufacturing facility and grounds
9. Assist purchasing with scheduling help for outside vendors as needed
10. Ability to communicate requirements to supervisors and also be independent to complete tasks with hardly any supervision
11. Keep the building and the equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations
12. Ability to work and act in a professional manner as all times
13. Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the facilities
