Job Summary : SUNY Brockport invites applications for an Instructional Support Technician position in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The primary responsibilities of this position is to support delivery of the department’s laboratory curriculum for general chemistry, nursing chemistry, and organic chemistry. Maintain departmental laboratory instruments, equipment, and supplies and departmental purchasing. Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry or closely related field by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- Relevant laboratory and instrumentation experiences, which could include undergraduate research, internship experience or other job experiences.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications :
Trained in Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) or similar safety and waste training.
Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm Salary and Benefits : The Minimum Salary for this position is $55,151.
