Position Summary
As a Restaurant Shift Supervisor, you will oversee Team Members in the absence of upper management. You will coach, direct, and acknowledge top performance, ensuring the highest standards for food safety and guest experiences. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring the team during your shift.
• Training Team Members on company policies and procedures.
• Opening and/or closing the restaurant.
• Enhancing guest experiences while ensuring cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Contributing to meeting cost and profit targets.

Job Details

• Hours: Full-Time, with opportunities for Overtime.
• Advancement Opportunities: We believe in promoting from within; many of our Shift Supervisors advance to Assistant Manager, General Manager, or Area Leader roles.
• Dress Code: El Pollo Loco uniform shirt provided; you are required to wear black pants or jeans and non-slip shoes.

Requirements:

• Experience: Must be an El Pollo Loco Crew Member certified in all positions or have at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred; must pass the Food Safety Audit upon hire.
• Communication: Strong English communication skills are preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Competencies: Basic math and computer skills, along with superb customer service abilities.
• Food Handler Card: A ServSafe Certificate is required at the time of hire or must be obtained thereafter.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform tasks requiring close vision, lift up to 40 lbs, and engage in physical activities.
