Note : This position is open to current district high school students aged 16 or older. Students hired will work during school lunch service / s, which must be outside of and not interfere with a student's school schedule.
JOB SUMMARY
The Nutrition Technician - Student Worker prepares and serves food items to students and school personnel and maintains facilities in a safe and sanitary condition.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
All positions require selected candidates to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a criminal background check. Additional minimum required qualifications for this position are :
- Able to obtain a Food Handler's Permit within two weeks of hire
- Able to follow safety practices and procedures, including the proper use of food preparation equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands : some lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 40% walking, and 50% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
