In this role you will be responsible for providing functional and technical expertise to projects and assignments pertaining to critical Business units in the organization. How you will make an impact :

  • Planning, coordinating, and performing complex technical assignments related to software applications in support of the Day Ahead Market Admin, FTR / ARR Market Admin, Forecasting Office, and Markets Monitoring groups
  • Analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, recommending solutions and implementing fixes associated with Market System applications
  • 24 x7 support for Day Ahead and FTR Market applications as needed
  • Assisting in the development of RFPs and evaluation of results
  • Coordinating with consultants and vendors on project deliverables
  • Lead IT Support activities for one or more business areas
  • Follow the Change Management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies and procedures during the course of the work

    • What you need to be successful in this role :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of working experience as a PL / SQL Developer or similar role
  • Working experience in Oracle, SQL, Postgres, PL / SQL development and Microsoft SQL server
  • Experience with tools like PL / SQL Developer, Oracle SQL Developer, and etc
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with software version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a Team Lead
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with challenging situations and communicating different problems to a wider audience
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation

    • Desired not required

  • Master's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Programming experience in Electric Utility Industry or Power System Markets

    • LI-HYBRID

    This is a U.S. based role. If the successful candidate resides outside of the U.S., relocation will be required.
