Project Manager Real Estate Development

Location: Northern California, Greater Chico (Hybrid)

Overview: A mission-driven affordable housing developer is seeking a Project Manager to support the expansion of its multifamily housing portfolio. This role leads projects from early feasibility through construction and permanent financing, with a focus on delivering high-quality housing in underserved and rural communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full lifecycle of affordable housing development projects, including feasibility, entitlements, financing, construction, and close-out
• Conduct site analysis, due diligence, and financial feasibility modeling (including pro formas and subsidy layering)
• Prepare and manage applications for public and private funding sources, including LIHTC and other financing programs
• Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams, including consultants, contractors, and public agency partners
• Oversee construction progress, budgets, timelines, and quality control
• Collaborate with internal teams (property management, asset management, resident services) to ensure successful project outcomes
• Build and maintain relationships with lenders, municipalities, and community stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Experience in real estate development, affordable housing, or related fields (financing, construction, or project management)
• Strong understanding of development processes, including entitlements, financing, and construction oversight
• Experience with financial analysis and feasibility modeling
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience with LIHTC or public funding sources preferred

Additional Details:

• Hybrid role requiring regular presence within the organization's service area
• Travel to project sites as needed
