Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company Urgently Hiring Package Operators to Start As Soon As Possible on 2nd or 3rd Shift

Shift:

2pm-10:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Overnight: 10:00pm-6:30am (Sunday Night - Friday Night)

Location: West Caldwell, NJ

Pay: $22-$24/hour

Job Description

As a Packaging Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating vial filling machines, fabrication machines, and secondary packaging equipment. You will also be responsible for cleaning and setting up manufacturing and packaging equipment, ensuring appropriate calibration stickers are current, and accurately recording documentation in logbooks and batch records.

Responsibilities

• Operate vial filling machines, fabrication machines, and secondary packaging equipment including labels and semi-automatic packaging equipment.
• Clean and set up manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Ensure calibration stickers are current.
• Record all necessary documentation in logbooks and batch records.
• Palletize completed work and transport to warehouse as necessary.
• Complete downtime logs accurately and contemporaneously.
• Communicate with IPC Operators on all issues concerning quality, components, and machine performance.
• Assure that all reconciled labeling and waste is properly accounted for.
• Communicate mechanical issues and other production information with incoming and outgoing shifts.
• Be knowledgeable of all appropriate SOPs and their practical application.

Essential Skills

• Experience in packaging, production, GMP, labeling, and cleanroom inspection.
• Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical packaging experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing, and verbal skills.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to operate vial filling machines, fabrication machines, and secondary packaging equipment.
• Good manual dexterity and visual acuity.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to stand for the majority of the day.
• Ability to lift or move 25-49 pounds.
• Ability to gown for manufacturing.
• Meet established scrap rate goals.
• Basic use of tools and equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caldwell, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
