Job description

Business Process Engineer

Quevera is seeking a Business Process Engineer to support mission-critical programs in Linthicum, Maryland. This position requires an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph and will support the modernization of system security evaluation and authorization processes through automation, continuous monitoring, process improvement, and enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with Government stakeholders and Agile development teams to improve business processes, facilitate organizational change, and support the implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) initiatives. This role combines business process engineering, Agile methodologies, and process improvement techniques to enhance operational efficiency and support mission objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply business process improvement and engineering methodologies to support process modernization initiatives.
  • Assist Government project teams in transitioning to Agile methodologies and facilitate project activities to achieve mission objectives.
  • Perform business process analysis, activity modeling, and data modeling to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Develop modern business methods, performance metrics, and best practices to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Facilitate meetings, interviews, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities with Government and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of business process improvement efforts.
  • Document, manage, and track project requirements through completion.
  • Define, implement, and maintain business processes and procedures that support organizational objectives.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Collaborate with customers, developers, and stakeholders to integrate new and existing business processes.
  • Conduct business process analysis, re-engineering, process measurement, and change management activities using industry best practices.
  • Identify business requirements, operational risks, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical guidance regarding business processes, technology capabilities, implementation risks, and associated costs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Seven (7) years of experience conducting Business Process Reengineering (BPR) activities.
  • Five (5) years of experience utilizing process improvement methodologies (e.g., Agile methodologies, Six Sigma) supporting Government integration programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience leading or supporting Scrum/Agile teams, including coordinating project activities and managing team workflows.
  • Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence, including decomposing requirements into Epics, Features, User Stories, and team tasks.
  • Experience defining, implementing, and maintaining business processes and procedures.
  • Experience evaluating business processes and recommending continuous process improvements.
  • Experience collaborating with Government stakeholders, technical teams, and developers to support business process integration.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience creating Jira dashboards to monitor Agile teams and report program metrics.
  • Experience supporting continuous monitoring and automated security authorization processes.
  • Experience with business process performance measurement and reporting.
