Job Title : Senior Procurement Specialist - 154360-1
Location : HYBRID - 3day a week (ideally within 30 miles of the Microsoft campus)
Schedule : M-F (40 / HR)
Duration / Start Date : 8 / 11 / 2025
Salary : $41.75 / hourly
Note : Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States .
Candidates with previous experience at Microsoft Corporation is required for this role
Summary :
The main function of a Procurement Specialist is to lead in determining and managing the sourcing strategy within a defined category or sub-categories, identifying and engaging with senior stakeholders. The manager will oversee the sourcing process and materials / reports for management, as well as provide sourcing and procurement advice to business areas.
Key projects :
Sourcing management and strategies
- Lead key assigned strategic initiatives for the organization along with a project / cross functional team
- Early engagement with cross-functional leadership, including product design, quality, business team cross-functionals to determine sourcing requirements for system integrators and supply chain design.
- Develop sourcing strategies to ensure advantaged cost, continuity of supply and effective TAM to dock operations
- Define RFQ / RFP activities and conduct negotiations with suppliers
- Manage contracting activities with Legal and ensure contract reflect MSFTs cross functional engagements with suppliers
- Establish and maintain business relationships with business partners within and outside of the Sourcing organization
- Collect, synthesize, and communicate fact-based insights to drive strategies, and decision making for executives
- Bring in thought leadership to help management in building vision, and aligning with stakeholders
Supply chain operations management and cost effectiveness
Manage supplier performance and compliance
Candidate Requirements :
Disqualifiers : Lacking required experience in financial tools, supply chain management, or other hard skills specified in the job description. The candidate must be local to the Redmond, WA area, preferably within the metro Seattle area and ideally within 30 miles of the Microsoft campus
