Pay Rate: $ 25 To $ 30 per hour
Contract: 10/12/2026 06/30/2027
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM CST
Experience: Minimum 5 years of public health, education, health education, or related experience required
About the Role
We are seeking a Public Health Program Director for a hybrid contract opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. This role will support the Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Program by planning and implementing evidence-based strategies focused on tobacco prevention among youth and young adults. The position will work closely with program staff, evaluation teams, schools, internal departments, and external stakeholders to support health education, training, outreach, and program goals.
Responsibilities
Plan and implement evidence-based tobacco prevention programs and youth engagement initiatives
Support schools with tobacco prevention and cessation initiatives
Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, materials, and educational resources
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Participate in meetings, professional development opportunities, conferences, and program-related activities
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree In Health Education, Biology, Or Related Field Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in public health, education, health education, or a related field required
Experience with tobacco prevention, youth health programs, community health, or health education preferred
Must be able to work remotely, prioritize tasks, and attend in-person onboarding and quarterly meetings as required
Tennessee residency required before start date
