Impact of the Role
Provides leadership to managers and may also have professional staff. Must have at least one manager level direct report. Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams. Develops departmental plans, including business, production and / or organizational priorities. Decisions are guided by resource availability and organizational objectives. Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment.
Essential Functions
Plans and oversees human resources functional operations, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance. Administers human resources programs and policies to reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs. Leads and directs the work of other managers and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.
Required Qualifications
Required education and experience : Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & / or Experience. Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred education and experience : Bachelor's Degree. Discipline / Major : Human Resources, Business or related degree preferred. Additional certifications : SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
