The Quality Control Technician plays a vital role in supporting production processes and maintaining product quality in a food manufacturing environment. They conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks, collect samples, investigate complaints, and ensure compliance with regulations. Strong communication skills, knowledge of food safety programs, and proficiency in MS Office are required qualifications.
Location : Rancho Dominguez, CA
Pay rate : $19- $22 / hr.
Schedules : 7am- 3 : 30pm OR 2pm- 10 : 30pm
Responsibilities :
Supports production processes and is accessible to production staff
Performs pre-op inspections and swabbing of equipment
Performs allergen inspections
Places nonconforming products on hold
Investigates complaints
Provides paper documentation for batches produced
Conducts quality checks, inspections, and audits
Collects and logs samples
Investigates complaints and inspects products
Maintains documentation and retain samples
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Qualifications :
Requires a bachelor's degree and / or 1 year of experience in food manufacturing
Knowledgeable in food safety programs and policies (FDA, USDA, AIB, HACCP, GMP, and Allergen Programs)
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred qualifications include additional language proficiency and specific industry knowledge (e.g., metal detection, lab testing)
