Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training Program) Certified.
- Ability to read and write and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to take Police reports through their respective department.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to display patience and even temper, and the ability to mediate fights and arguments.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with administrators, district staff, teachers, students and general public, dealing with all individuals courteously and tactfully.
- Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Valid Fire Arms Permit.
All persons recommended for employment must pass an extensive background check through the Division of Family Services, the Missouri Highway Patrol, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
