Job description

Federal Contract Administration Specialist Lead

We are seeking a lead with deep expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulations and commercial contracting principles to serve as a business advisor on Federal contract administration. This role involves managing complex, high-value subcontract matters that impact Firm revenue, providing strategic subcontract negotiation support, and maintaining collaborative relationships with subcontract companies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, primarily focusing on Defense Government programs.

Work you'll do As a Specialist Lead, Procurement and Category Management on the Operational Excellence team, you will be responsible for:

  • Guide and coordinate proposal and award activities for assigned subcontracts across the subcontract lifecycle
  • Review complex subcontract actions, identify risks and opportunities, and support subcontract and related agreement negotiations
  • Monitor subcontract portfolios to support compliant, timely project completion and revenue retention
  • Collaborate with enabling areas to address subcontract administration and proposal issues and share lessons learned
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in federal subcontracts and acquisition matters while maintaining relationships with account and business development teams

Qualifications Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in subcontract administration
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience supporting the federal acquisition lifecycle
  • Experience managing time and materials (T&M), firm fixed price (FFP), firm fixed price/level of effort (FFP/LOE), cost plus fixed fee (CPFF), cost plus incentive fee (CPIF), and cost plus award fee (CPAF) contract types, and solicitations under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 8 and 16
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) experience
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense subcontracts
  • Advanced degree or National Contract Management Association (NCMA) certification, including Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)
  • Experience applying Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) contracting regulations and policies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

This compensation range is specific to Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,300 to $155,400. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
