Description & Requirements Maximus is seeking an experienced Senior AEM Backend Developer with a strong background in AEM 6.5 and AEM as Cloud Service, Java / J2EE, and backend integration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : - Design, develop, code, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software of complex software applications. - Perform maintenance on existing software products and contribute knowledge of business applications. - Contribute as necessary to the development of all project artifacts throughout the system development life cycle. - Write SQL queries and analyze existing queries for performance tuning. - Perform post-deployment verification. - Review the existing documentation. - Document technical specifications. Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities : - Develop, customize, and maintain AEM 6.5, Cloud Service solutions with a strong focus on backend components. - Implement AEM Forms, workflows, and integrations to enhance the platform capabilities. - Work extensively with Java, J2EE, OSGi, and the Sling Framework to build robust backend services. - Manage and optimize CRX (Content Repository) for efficient data storage and retrieval. - Configure and maintain SSO integration between AEM sites and enterprise identity providers. - Develop and expose RESTful APIs for seamless integration with third-party applications and frontend components. - Ensure best practices in AEM content management, including security, scalability, and performance tuning. - Implement testing frameworks to validate AEM components and ensure code quality. - Collaborate with Frontend developers, architects, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver optimal solutions. - Troubleshoot and resolve AEM performance issues, errors, and security vulnerabilities. - Stay updated with the latest AEM and Java technologies to enhance development practices. Minimum Requirements - Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years with a Master's degree. - Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. - Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. - Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. Job-Specific Minimum Requirements : - Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. - 3+ years of experience working with AEM 6.5, Cloud Service in a backend development role. - Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, Sling Framework, and OSGi. - Extensive experience with AEM Forms development, including adaptive forms and workflows. - Deep understanding of CRX (Adobe Content Repository) and JCR queries. - Experience in developing AEM microsites, multisite configurations, and multilingual implementations using language copy / Live Copy feature. - Experience with backend integration using RESTful APIs and SOAP services. - Experience in configuring and implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth) with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) sites. - Hands-on experience with AEM testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and AEM Mocks. - Strong knowledge of content management best practices in AEM. - Experience optimizing AEM performance, caching strategies, and dispatcher configurations. - Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices for AEM deployments. - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues.
