Description of Work Continued : Primary Purpose of the Position :

The School of Social Work at Fayetteville State University invites applications for a tenure-track 9-month faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful applicant will teach primarily in the undergraduate program but may be responsible for teaching graduate courses in an online format as well as providing academic advisement to students. In addition to instructional duties, the successful applicant will be required to maintain an active program of scholarship, service, and be willing to seek and participate in extramural funding. The salary for faculty positions is commensurate with experience. The School of Social Work is seeking an innovative educator who is excited about the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues who teach in this program. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :

• Candidates must have a Doctorate in Social Work
• MSW degree,
• Two-years post-MSW practice experience.
• Administration experience and teaching experience at the BSW level.
• This position requires strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong research capacity and the potential to generate external research funding.
