A substitute teacher is a temporary educator who fills in for regular classroom teachers when they are absent.

The primary responsibilities of a substitute teacher include:

  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
  • Enforce school and classroom rules to ensure student behavior is conducive to learning.

Lesson Implementation:

  • Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or create engaging and educational activities if lesson plans are not available.
  • Ensure the continuity of the curriculum.

Instruction:

  • Deliver lessons and instructions to students, answering questions and providing support as needed.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

Attendance and Reporting:

  • Take attendance and report it to the school office.
