We are seeking a skilled Linux Systems Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support Linux infrastructure in physical and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing complex Linux systems, a passion for automation, and a commitment to delivering robust, secure, and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and support a large-scale Linux environment, including physical and virtual servers.
Provide guidance on best practices and industry standards for Linux systems.
Develop and enhance automation tools for streamlined infrastructure management.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure optimal performance and security of Linux-based systems.
Foster a culture of innovation, standardization, and process improvement within the team.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, ensuring system availability and reliability.
Required Skills and Experience :
Participate in on-call rotation (one week every five weeks).
3+ years of experience with Red Hat or CentOS Linux systems.
Proficiency in Linux shell scripting and Python programming (2+ years).
Experience automating and orchestrating Linux administrative tasks.
Familiarity with security compliance, monitoring, and patch management.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, AWX, or Rundeck.
Experience with infrastructure management tools such as Red Hat Satellite or Artifactory.
Knowledge of vulnerability management tools like Nexpose or Qualys.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or KVM) and ServiceNow.
Exposure to Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
