Job Summary :
Looking for a higher level technician that can program security systems like Softwarehouse, Avigilon, Genetec. This role will be troubleshooting for service work. Installation will also be part of the job. Most of the locations you will be working in will be in West Valley.
The Field Engineer must be able to program and install security systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV and Intrusion systems) per manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems in a senior service support role. That includes testing, troubleshooting of system components and functions and field verification of connections, labels, installation and work quality.
- Understands advanced system drawings, specifications and technical manuals. They will be able to create shop drawings and submittals for new project kick-off.
- Manages the technical work in the field with little supervision
- Works both "in house" and in the field when required.
- Assumes ownership of project installation giving support to field staff and project manager. This includes providing advanced support for field installation staff.
- Assists with maintaining and completing project punch-list for project close outs.
- Oversees the technical aspects of projects.
- Performs quality-checks on the projects, tests all equipment and functionality and creates punch lists.
- Assists sales staff as needed with product and system demonstrations.
- Handles other responsibilities as assigned.
