Merchants Insurance Group, is a leading Property and Casualty Insurer in the Northeast, and is looking for an IT Systems Analyst for our Corporate Information Technology team located in our Corporate Headquarters in Buffalo, New York.

The IT Systems Analyst works with all levels of the Information Technology team as well as Business Users to analyze, design, document, train, implement and / or support business applications and systems for the Workers’ Compensation and Commercial lines of business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• The IT systems Analyst works with all levels of information technology and business users to analyze, design, document, train, implement and / or support business application and systems.
• Functions as a project coordinator for small to medium sized projects.
• Participates in testing efforts for projects by developing or coordinating detailed test plans, test case scenarios and defect logs for all assigned projects.
• Provides system training to users as needed. Provides consulting guidance and evaluation of business requirements, functional specifications, test plans and resolution of user problems for any product as needed.

Merchants Insurance Group offers a competitive pay scale. The actual compensation will be determined based upon experience and other factors permitted by law. The initial pay range for this position is $57,000 - $75,300.
