Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct intake, tracking, investigation, and resolution of team member issues, while ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
- Provide coaching and counseling to relevant parties based on investigation findings.
- Assist in documenting and reviewing disciplinary actions, in coordination with management.
- Conduct onsite HR and risk assessments, summarizing results and ensuring follow-up.
- Keep leadership informed of HR policies and changes in employment law.
- Coordinate compliance with federal and state-specific training requirements.
- Manage worker's compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work processes.
- Provide mentorship to HR coordinator and assist in administration of job-protected absences.
- Conduct exit interviews for voluntary management terminations.
- Manage unemployment claims and ensure compliance with E-verify.
- Oversee Focal Point Reviews and complete voluntary employment surveys.
- Ensure up-to-date postings of federal, state, and local employment materials.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state-specific employment laws.
- Experience managing leaves of absence and familiarity with paid time off laws.
- Previous experience in multi-site / multi-state HR experience required in Texas and California.
- Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS technology and intermediate Excel skills.
Some travel may be required.
Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
