Human Resources Generalist

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct intake, tracking, investigation, and resolution of team member issues, while ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
• Provide coaching and counseling to relevant parties based on investigation findings.
• Assist in documenting and reviewing disciplinary actions, in coordination with management.
• Conduct onsite HR and risk assessments, summarizing results and ensuring follow-up.
• Keep leadership informed of HR policies and changes in employment law.
• Coordinate compliance with federal and state-specific training requirements.
• Manage worker's compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work processes.
• Provide mentorship to HR coordinator and assist in administration of job-protected absences.
• Conduct exit interviews for voluntary management terminations.
• Manage unemployment claims and ensure compliance with E-verify.
• Oversee Focal Point Reviews and complete voluntary employment surveys.
• Ensure up-to-date postings of federal, state, and local employment materials.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state-specific employment laws.
• Experience managing leaves of absence and familiarity with paid time off laws.
• Previous experience in multi-site / multi-state HR experience required in Texas and California.
• Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS technology and intermediate Excel skills.

Some travel may be required.

Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
