KTKZ AM 1380 The Answer, Sacramento, is searching for a dynamic Conservative Morning Talk Show Host. Our ideal candidate does not shy away from delivering Conservative radio while also building a personal connection with our listeners.
Candidates must have a proven track record of success. Must deliver appropriate content in an interesting, compelling, and enlightening style that attracts our targeted audience, promotes productive discussion, and engages digital users across all platforms.
The Morning Show Host must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with Salem Media Group's formats, policies, and procedures, as well as all FCC rules and regulations.
Candidates should be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and react in a calm and decisive way when dealing with challenging callers and situations.
Additionally, the best candidate will demonstrate the ability to work closely with all departments and individuals. The ultimate team player.
Responsibilities include :
- Morning Show Hosting that generates significant listenership by being entertaining, informative, community oriented, Conservative, and thoughtful.
- Must have a deep understanding of how to go beyond the latest news, headlines, and events to craft an entertaining and unique product.
- Must be able to plan, promote and produce a quality show, through creative ideas, segments, and booking local and national interviews, with the assistance of a producer.
- Participate in station and client events / remotes, connecting with the community and our listeners, building a relationship with clients through the sales team and networking within the market.
- Must have a working-knowledge and understanding of all FCC Rules and Regulations for compliance.
