Job Title : Tool and Die Maker Machinist

Type : Direct Hire

Location : Fraklin Park, IL

Pay rate : $25-$32.

• Based on Experience Shift / Schedule : Monday-Friday
• 1t Shift 8 : 00am- 5 : 00pm
• Saturday 8 : 00am-2 : 00pm

Overview

A half century of experience in metal forming and fabrication has given us the insight necessary to deliver exceptional engineering.

Manufactures angles, bows, beams, brackets, channels, closures, covers, crossmembers, flanges, guides, hats, panels, plates, posts, protectors, rails, stakes, stiffeners, track, and any other shape you can dream up.

Job Duties

• Build, repair, and maintain progressive dies, per design requirements.
• Modify existing tooling per customer changes and requirements.
• Knowledge and ability to perform rebuilds, sharpen and repair dies.
• Ability to troubleshoot press and die problems.
• Perform changeovers on multiple part tooling.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, and CAD drawings.
• Draw die experience a plus but not required.
• Setup and operate manual machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
• Fitting and assembling tools for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities.

Qualification

• Manufacturing : 5 years
• Tool and Die maker : 2 years.
• TMA certificate or equivalent a plus but not required.
• Computer skills
• Knowledge and operation of all tool room equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of proper die build procedures.
• Knowledge of punch press equipment and metal forming processes a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to work from verbal and written instructions.
• Team oriented Safety conscious and Self motivated
