Land Acquisition Manager
Job Description
David Weekley Homes is seeking a Land Acquisition Manager to join our San Antonio team!
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in residential land acquisition, analysis, development or brokerage experience within the greater San Antonio area.
Job Responsibilities :
- Work collaboratively with the Land team, along with Regional and Division President to assess the feasibility of potential land purchases.
- Manage entitlement and site selection, due diligence review, underwriting, and approvals for proposed new land acquisitions.
- Network with developers, brokers, landowners, and other builders to determine new land opportunities for DWH.
- Maintain a high level of visibility in the home building business, actively participating in the community, civic and business organizations pertinent to the industry.
- Manage and oversee the development of active projects from acquisition to lot delivery (100% owned projects).
- Visit each newly presented opportunity and evaluate how this opportunity fits with DWH business plan.
Requirements :
- 5 years work experience in residential land acquisitions, analysis, development or brokerage experience within the San Antonio area
- Bachelor’s degree required- preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, Real Estate, Land Development, Law, or related fields
- MBA or JD strongly preferred
The ideal candidate will possess :

- Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing financial reports
- Confident with numbers and MS Excel
- Excellent work practices with respect to organization, prioritization, and communication

- Ability to influence a large number of external people to put your priorities first, with tempered assertiveness
