Controller - Hybrid Remote | Greater Hartford, CT

A well established, mid-sized public accounting firm in the Greater Hartford area is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the firm’s internal financial operations and play a key role in firm administration. With over 40 years in business, the firm serves clients throughout Connecticut and across the U.S. Their diverse portfolio includes mid-market businesses in industries such as architecture, construction, professional services, manufacturing, healthcare, nonprofits, real estate, and more. What You’ll Do :

• Manage all aspects of the firm’s internal accounting and financial reporting
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and expense management
• Prepare monthly and year end financial statements and reports for leadership
• Handle payroll, accounts payable / receivable, and general ledger activity
• Support HR and benefits administration, including coordinating employee benefit plans and renewals
• Partner with firm leadership on operational initiatives and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with firm policies, tax filings, and applicable regulations
