Job Description
General Purpose :
The Sales Development Representative is responsible for generating a pipeline of customer prospects for our Cloud based products and services .
This position will work closely with marketing and other sales groups to achieve success metrics to drive revenue gains and executing outreach strategies.
Reports to (Supervisor / Manager) :
Manager, Sales Development
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manages campaigns and cadences to identify Sales Qualified Leads.
- Meets or exceeds monthly / quarterly / annual appointment setting goals.
- Identifies pain points, priorities, and business compatibility.
- Conveys how products and solutions can help achieve business communication goals.
- Converts to a sales-qualified lead or opportunity for our sales team to grow into a successful, long-term customer.
- Develops sales strategies to draw in potential customers or to solicit new potential customers.
- Initiates contact with potential customers through cold-calling or responding to inquiries generated from advertisements.
- Fosters relationships with customers to identify their potential needs and qualify.
Other Responsibilities :
- Collaborates with marketing team to write, test, and optimize call scripts and sequential follow-up communications.
- Tracks and reports marketing qualification within Salesforce.
- Helps maintain and enrich the Salesforce database.
Required Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years’ experience in Sales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong time management skills : ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of online communications tools and applications.
Other Qualifications :
- Experience in the technology / communications industry preferred.
- Knowledge of current demand gen tactics, marketing automation, and digital marketing tools, content syndication, webinars, paid social, affiliate marketing, and pay per lead programs preferred.
- Excellent project management skills preferred.
