Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Specialist Master in New Orleans, Louisiana and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Manage information technology project teams that work across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall lifecycle for the design, development, testing and implementation of Extract Transform Load (ETL), Analytical and Business reports, and Data Warehouse solutions for enterprise-level clients.

Manage information technology projects for multiple Database Administration teams in deployments of coding, cloning, refreshing, patching, backups, restore etc.

of multiple middleware components. Coordinate with technical and functional teams and able to understand the criticality of activities and schedule the same accordingly.

Manage analysis, design, programming and testing for presentation, reporting and data ETL layers of enterprise data warehouse.

Manage weekly cold backups of database and perform database recovery activities. Perform role of counselor and coach; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities;

provide leadership and support for teams and staff in local offices. Provide expertise in activities, including maintaining instances, maintenance of file system, and taking appropriate backups for security and consistency.

Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.
  • Telecommuting permitted.
  • Work location includes various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive related work experience.

Position requires 3 years of related work experience in each of the following :

  • Working in multidimensional data modeling, including star schemas, snowflakes, normalized and de-normalized models, utilizing erwin Data Modeler and SQL Server Management Studio;
  • Developing and maintaining contact with top decision makers, managing aspects of the proposal development process, and managing the development of proposal pricing strategies;
  • Overseeing major database administration tasks, including root cause analysis, and troubleshooting, optimizing, and monitoring connections, utilizing SQL Server profiler and SQL Sentry;
  • Architecting, developing, testing, and documenting Data Integration and Migration ETL solutions and frameworks built on platforms, utilizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and GitHub;
  • Utilizing DbVisualizer for designing, reviewing, reverse engineering, and documenting Logical and Physical data models, including Star and Snowflake schemas;
  • Working with client Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization and business teams to develop, review, finalize, and document Business Intelligence, including reporting and dashboard requirements based on the identified key performance metrics, utilizing Tableau and Pentaho; and
  • Overseeing database administration tasks, using Redgate software, sqlcmd Utility, Bulk Copy Program (BCP) Utility, DTExec Utility, SQL Server Data Tool (SSDT), and SQL Data Profiler for development and test databases, including planning, developing, testing, and documenting backup and recovery procedures, database version upgrades, and export and import procedures for data dumps.
