Online Community Manager

Overview

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.

JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.

JerseySTEM recruits volunteer college students as program instructors for the middle schoolers.

While being onboarded, college students are invited to join the JerseySTEM discord server and specific channels to their university and sites they will teach at.

Responsibilities

Login to discord everyday and

invite new college students (previously identified) to join us

Help think through ways to increase loyalty

Answer any questions college students might have and refer them to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications

Knowledge of online platforms like Discord

Enjoy interacting with people

Team work with current JerseySTEM support staff
