Responsibilities
- Provide best-in-class guest service : greet guests promptly, respond to questions / concerns quickly and courteously, assist with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guest experience.
- Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
- Process guest purchases / returns accurately using the POS system; ensure correct changes, provide receipts, and maintain high levels of guest service.
- Respond to guest questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate.
- Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-ins, Pro Rewards).
- Assist the Store Manager with training and setting guest service expectations for store staff; ensure staff understand company policies and guidelines.
- Monitor associate performance, provide feedback, and address performance concerns in line with company policy.
- Ensure onboarding and training are completed prior to shifts; confirm knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics.
- Schedule store staff to meet guest service needs; supervise staffing levels and ensure breaks are accounted for.
- Assist in payroll processes and ensure accurate timekeeping and pay for staff.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in working order.
- Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily and manage inventory control to protect company assets.
- Support sales, profit, and shrink goals; perform administrative and operational duties as required.
- Assist with stock counts, restocking, and moving products to ensure shelves are organized and correctly displayed.
- Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions; manage cash and bank deposits according to guidelines.
- Verify shipments, record discrepancies, and conduct inventories; manage recalls and stock pulls as needed.
- Maintain awareness of safety and report injuries per guidelines.
- Support store records management and ensure manuals are up to date.
- Supervise and delegate tasks in the Store Manager's absence and adhere to all policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.Must be at least 18 years old.High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.Retail management experience (6+ months) preferred; retail sales / guest service / management experience (2+ years) preferred.Video game knowledge preferred.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; capable of working independently and as part of a team.Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; minimum 3 days / week availability.Ability to stand, move, and lift up to 30 lbs; ability to perform tasks requiring bending and reaching.Additional Information
Pay : $19.25 - $23.25 per hour
