Job Overview
The AVP of Behavioral Health and Crisis Intervention Services has operational oversight for AltaMed’s behavioral health services programs in partnership with Health Services clinical leadership.
The AVP leads the development, deployment and monitoring of strategies and programs to integrate mental health and crisis intervention services with primary care services and programs to achieve AltaMed health outcome goals and impact health disparities.
The AVPs responsibilities includes direct leadership of behavioral health program directors and teams in partnership with physician leadership to deliver services and ensure they are operating effectively and meeting the strategic goals and mission of the organization.
The AVP will be accountable for the operational plans of all AltaMed clinic facilities pertaining to integrated behavioral health and crisis intervention services, including growth and associated strategies, organizing, training, and personnel.
The duties of this position include planning, executing, quality, and overseeing the execution of all budgetary obligations.
This role's duty is to ensure that Health Services adheres to all applicable regulations, certifications, and licensing prerequisites set forth by federal, state, funding, and municipal entities.
This role will collaborate with the leadership of Health Services to assist departments and facilities in achieving the goals and objectives of the Health Services division.
The AVP in this role will collaborate with clinic operations leaders, physician leadership, the Health Institute, and corporate support services to ensure the provision of services that function efficiently while maintaining a superior standard of care.
Minimum Requirements :
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Nursing, Health Administration or other health related fields required; Master’s Degree in Psychology, Public Health or Health Administration strongly required.
2. Master’s Degree preferred.
3. Minimum of 7 years of experience required in behavioral health care management, overseeing multiple office locations required.
4. Experience in financial management, program development, personnel management, project management and quality management strongly preferred.
5. Demonstrated results in executing complex initiatives and projects.
