About The Team

The Global Consolidations and Close team ensures the accurate and timely consolidation of Walmart's financial statements each month-end close. Key responsibilities include intercompany eliminations, cash flow reporting, and investment / equity accounting. The team collaborates closely with market and segment stakeholders to provide strategic guidance and operational support across a broad range of financial areas. This group plays a vital role in maintaining financial integrity and delivering insights that support informed decision-making throughout the organization.

What You'll Do

• Manage the preparation and review of annual budgets for Finance and support departments, providing recommendations for final approval.
• Oversee financial reporting, balance sheet accounts, and audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other regulatory requirements through consistent policy application.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team by providing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Drive execution of business plans by identifying needs, removing obstacles, and measuring progress.
• Promote ethical standards, integrity, and company values in all activities.

What You'll Bring

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area OR 6 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area. 1 year's supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Relational Database Management System (RDMS), Working on cross-functional teams or projects Masters : Business Administration Financial & Insurance - Certified Public Accountant - Certification
